Of
all the things our friends and family
can do for us on the home front, the
most important and meaningful thing is
prayer. For this reason we are always
looking for people who would stand in
the gap for the Criollo people and for
our family. Toward this end, we try to
send out a weekly note that keeps our
prayer partners current. It is very
simple; just a note that reflects the
day to day activities of our ministry
and family.
Here is our most recent prayer note:
Dear Prayer Partners,
It is a joy to write to you again. Thank you so much for praying for us. God has really blessed us this last week. We traveled almost 2000 miles and visited five states or provinces. Our van did great and we didn’t have a single problem. We are praising the Lord for His blessings. We are thanking Him for…
A house. We found a beautiful house that should be almost perfect for our family! It is in a good location and will be available almost immediately. We are working on the rental contract so we can get into it really soon.
A safe and successful trip. 2000 miles and not a single problem.
The chance to reconnect with many friends up north. It was a huge blessing to spend time with friends and brothers from Santiago del Estero, Chaco, and Corrientes.
We also want to ask you to pray with us over the coming week for…
The family of our coworker, Melissa Andrews. After Melissa made it home, her father passed away. Pray that the peace of the Lord will surround them during this difficult time.
The people of northern Argentina. It has been ten months since it rained and there is much suffering. Also, they are experiencing shortages of fuel again.
Our family as the kids start school and we prepare for our next move.
Jay’s family. On Thursday, Jay’s grandmother passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. In times like these, we really feel the distance between us and our family. In spite of the loss, we have seen God’s hand in every circumstance. He is always faithful.
I am speechless when I think of how God has blessed our family by sending each of you into our lives. Thank you for being used by God in our ministry.
In Him,
The Cook family

This young lady is named
Patricia, but all her
friends call her Pato. She
is a member of the Quitilipi
church and has become like
another daughter to us. In
addition to working with
children in several barrios
in Quitilipi, she teaches
Elizabeth, Bill, Johnathan
and Jessica Castellano.
Recently, she has started
nursing school in Sáenz-Peńa.
She has also just learned
that she has been selected
to go to Brazil for an
intensive four month school
on teaching children's
workers. Please pray for
Pato as she serves and seeks
to prepare for the future
plans that God has for her.
Pray that she will clearly
understand His will and
follow it faithfully. |

This is the Carlos Muldonado
family from Charata. They
are Carlos and Veronica with
their two children, Damian
and Dana. They have
recently surrendered to the
ministry and are beginning
their studies at the Baptist
Seminary in Buenos Aires.
Pray that God will meet
their needs during this time
of transition and
preparation. Pray that
their seminary years will be
a blessed time in their
lives as they follow the
Lord's will for their
family. |

This group of folks is most
of the team of adults and
young people that will be
traveling to Chaco from June
2-10, 2006. They are from
Maysville Baptist Church in
Maysville, Georgia. Please
pray for Keith, the team
leader, and each member of
this team as they are
preparing to be used by the
Lord among the Criollo
people in the interior of
Chaco. Pray that God will
open many doors of ministry
and that this team of
volunteers will be used
greatly to grow God's
Kingdom in northern
Argentina. |

WARNING!

|
Committing yourself to
pray for the lost
peoples of the world can
be hazardous to your
comfort. Such
commitments often lead
to development of "a
heart for the nations."
In advanced cases, this
heart condition can lead
to increased mission
involvement including,
but not limited to,
volunteer missions,
generous giving, greater
concern for the lost
people around you, and a
call to long-term
missions.
